The ground floor of our building is home to the Sandra Reynolds team of bookers and is always a buzzing hive of activity... Each month we share a little bit of news from the booking desk, so read on to find out what we have been up to recently!

This blog post is an exciting one, featuring our SRJ Sports Day, our new initiative 'Book a Model, Plant a Tree' and a look into our London family and junior model casting days... 

We have been listening to: We've enjoyed taking it in turns to each choose a music genre these past couple of months. Some favourites: House, R&B, Pop & Rap.

We have been reading: Carrie Soto Is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid.

A few favourite brands we've worked with: Hilton, Travelodge, Amazon, Smyths, Sainsbury's, Landal, Getty Images, Parkdean, Footlocker, Marriott and Honda (just to name a few!).

A fun memory: Georgia showcased her artistic talent by creating a lovely portrait of our office dogs, Lady and Norman. (We've hidden an image of the portraits somewhere within this blog post, can you find it?)

TEAM UPDATES

SRJ SPORTS DAY

For this year's annual team Summer party, we celebrated with a sports day that brought everyone together for a day of fun, laughter, and friendly competition. 

We lucked out with a sunny day, which set the perfect tone for a morning of rounders games. After two games, the pink team took the final win, although if you ask the blue team that's a different story... After our exciting rounders matches, we indulged in an amazing afternoon tea spread that featured an array of treats – from sandwiches to scones and cakes. Laughter and conversations flowed as we enjoyed taking a well-deserved break from the sports. As the sun began to set, the atmosphere transformed into a lively karaoke session where team SRJ showcased their hidden talents, belting out tunes that had everyone singing along. 

We look forward to next summer's festivities, where the blue team is determined to reclaim the rounders trophy and prove their skills on the field.

SMASHING TARGETS!

Every year, our team comes together for our annual SRJ business meeting – reflecting on the past year's successes. We dive into our favourite model bookings, targets and social media adventures, reliving the moments that made us proud.

This year, our excitement knows no bounds as we've not only met but exceeded our targets! We want to say a big thank you to our incredible clients – your trust and collaboration drives us forward. And to our amazing models and actors, a heartfelt thank you for being the heart of our achievements.

BOOK A MODEL, PLANT A TREE

In July, we launched our new initiative 'Book a Model, Plant a Tree'. This project means a lot to us as a business, we have been proudly partnering with Ecologi since June 2022, helping to balance out our carbon footprint by supporting environmental projects, and now we are taking that next step to help our planet further, and so are you! Because for each booking that Sandra Reynolds Juniors, Sandra Reynolds Agency and our sister company East Coast Locations receive, we now plant a tree in the UK.

NEW FACE CASTING DAYS

Every month we are lucky to meet brilliant new face junior models and family models and June & July was no different. We invite junior models to our London and Norwich studios and have included a few shots here from one of our London days. These days give our model bookers a chance to see how each junior model and family works in front of the camera and have a friendly chat. We also completed some updates for our existing talents' portfolios. Make sure to keep an eye on our BLOG for all the new face models and actors that we sign each month.

CAMPAIGN SPOTLIGHT: SCARLETT FOR INVISALIGN

Our awesome family and junior models regularly land roles in photographic and TV commercials for some of the biggest brands in the UK. We're incredibly fortunate to team up with such wonderful clients. Just recently, our fantastic junior model, Scarlett Archer, scored a spot in an exciting campaign for Invisalign. We caught up with Scarlett to hear all about how the shoot went...

SRJ: When you first heard about the Invisalign campaign, what were your thoughts?

SCARLETT: When I first heard about the Invisalign campaign, I was excited.  I already use Invisalign, so it was a perfect shoot for me. I think it’s great there is a product like Invisalign. They are invisible and a great alternative to fixed braces.

SRJ: How many of you were there on the day? 

SCARLETT: I shot the campaign over two days.  On day one, I shot with a screen mum and an Orthodontist.  There were a lot of crew and models for different scenarios, but everything ran smoothly!  We had regular breaks for water and drinks and a great lunch.  The crew and other models were very friendly, and I felt so comfortable.  On Day two I shot with a dad, a new mum and a female Orthodontist. Once again it was very busy, but everything ran smoothly.  I had a really great time on set.

SRJ: How did this campaign make you feel? 

SCARLETT: I thought the campaign was so well-organised, with a lot of different scenarios over the two days.  Everyone was cast well, and we all just got along.  The shoot was busy, organised and very professional.  I really enjoyed all the people I worked with and being part of such a wonderful campaign.

OUTTAKES

We'll do our best to update you on everything, but the booking desk is always so busy – it's almost like we'd need to write non-stop! Here are some highlights: Content Creator Inday and Senior Model Booker Georgia both had birthdays. Juniors Model Booker Sarah marked her impressive 7th year with Sandra Reynolds (hooray!). Our fantastic intern, Martha, spent her work experience week with us and tackled every task with ease. We also joined in on #NationalSelfieDay at the SR office – check out our video by clicking HERE. Additionally, Jodie and Georgia visited a secondary school to provide catwalk training for the students in preparation for their fashion show. Wow... what a couple of months we've had at SR HQ, we can't wait to update you again soon!
