shoot advice during COVID

Since Government guidelines were brought in back in June 2020, shoots have been able to continue as before - albeit with rules put in place to minimise the spread of COVID. Production, like manufacturing, cannot be done from home. You can also continue to shoot in people's homes, they are locations for the purpose of filming only.
The Government states:
“Where people cannot work effectively from home they should continue to travel to work. This is essential to keeping the country operating and supporting vital sectors and employers.”
It is up to all of us to work together and ensure we make these shoots as safe as possible for everyone involved and therefore, in addition to our COVID-19 Shoot Guidelines we have outlined below a few ways in which we can help you during this period.
1. BOOKING MODELS AND ACTORS WHO ARE LOCAL TO THE SHOOT LOCATION
The Government have stated that we should keep travel to a minimum where possible and therefore we have launched our area search function which allows you to search all models and actors who live within a certain distance of your shoot location. If it is not possible to select talent close to the shoot, people are permitted to travel within the UK and to other countries covered in the current travel corridor list, and to stay in hotels, if it is for work purposes.
Where more than one model or actor is required, it is safer to book a group who are in the same bubble, especially where close interaction may be required. We have the largest and most diverse selection of real families, couples and siblings in the UK who are ready to work for you. We also have several models and actors who are friends and live together in the same house.
We have a wide range of junior models, actors, voice-over artists and influencers who have the facilities, equipment and parental expertise to be able to create high quality commercial content at home. A number of these also have parents who are photographers, DOP’s and other creative professionals, enabling them to deliver all kinds of briefs.
We have a production and design company based in Norfolk where our brilliant creative team can shoot or create anything you require, on brief, on time and on budget - either in our studio or at one of our beautiful shoot locations. We have many years of experience producing for children's brands so you can pass anything our way safe in the knowledge that we will produce fantastic results in the safest and most efficient way possible.
This is a challenging time for all of us and we hope some of these options will help you shoot more comfortably.
